CM7S 6mm ARC Barreled Action — 18-Inch Configuration

The 6mm ARC barreled action from Chattahoochee Munitions pairs the CM7S bolt action with an 18-inch barrel. This configuration serves customers seeking a bolt-action platform for predator hunting and supersonic precision shooting.

The CM7S combines a Remington 700 footprint with a three-lug bolt, 60-degree bolt throw, integrated recoil lug and pinned 20 MOA Picatinny rail. The barrel uses 416R stainless steel, 5R rifling and a 1:7 twist, with E100 Blackout Cerakote applied to its exterior.

CM7S Action Design

The CM7S is designed to Chattahoochee Munitions specifications. Its three-lug architecture provides a 60-degree bolt throw, while the one-piece bolt incorporates an M16-style extractor, spiral fluting and an oversized bolt knob.

Wire EDM raceways, a side bolt-stop release and tool-less fire-control removal are part of the action’s design. The full PVD coating provides the action’s protective surface finish.

The recoil lug is integrated into the action. The pinned 20 MOA rail provides the optics-mounting interface. A .062-inch firing pin accommodates small-rifle-primer brass.

18-Inch 6mm ARC Barrel

The barrel is manufactured in collaboration with Mos-Tek using 416R stainless steel and 5R rifling. This configuration uses an 18-inch barrel with a 1:7 twist, a shouldered crown and 5/8×24 muzzle threads.

The 18-inch length distinguishes this product from the compact 12.5-inch CM7S offering. Compare the complete firearm’s intended dimensions and handling requirements when choosing between barrel configurations. Published ammunition velocities should not be treated as measured results from this specific barrel.

Compatibility and Supplied Configuration

This product is a 6mm ARC barreled action rather than a complete firearm. The CM7S uses a Remington 700 footprint and accepts compatible Remington 700-style triggers. Trigger pins are included.

Confirm compatibility with the specific stock, chassis, trigger and bottom metal under consideration. The footprint designation alone does not establish compatibility with every component marketed for Remington 700-pattern actions.

6mm ARC Magazine Selection

For the CM7S platform, CM uses an AICS-pattern magazine rather than the AR15-pattern magazine used by the semi-automatic CM15.

The MDT 6mm ARC AICS magazine is the CM7S magazine option. It provides 10-round capacity in a polymer body. Review the magazine and bottom-metal requirements of the intended configuration.

Suppressed Use

Chattahoochee Munitions prefers an enclosed, conventional baffle suppressor for the bolt-action CM7S. Its manually operated action does not introduce the gas-operated cycling considerations associated with the CM15.

The barrel’s 5/8×24 threads provide the muzzle interface. Suppressor suitability also depends on cartridge approval, bore suitability, barrel-length rating and mounting-system compatibility. Supersonic ammunition continues to produce a sonic crack when suppressed.
