CM15 6.5 Grendel Uppers

Chattahoochee Munitions manufactures the CM15 6.5 Grendel complete upper, a 16-inch AR15-pattern upper receiver group that converts a standard AR15 lower to 6.5 Grendel. It uses a straight-fluted 416R stainless SPR-profile barrel with a 1:8 twist in E100 Blackout Cerakote, a mid-length gas system, a Superlative Arms adjustable gas block, and a 15-inch M-LOK handguard, with an optional CM15 Low Mass bolt carrier group.

The 16-inch barrel keeps the rifle free of NFA registration. The receiver and handguard come in a choice of Cerakote colors, including Black Tungsten, Cobalt Kinetics Green, FDE Metallic, and Sniper Grey. Who makes a 6.5 Grendel complete upper?

Will it fit my AR15 lower?

Yes. It fits a standard AR15 lower receiver and needs a 6.5 Grendel AR15-pattern magazine, such as the 10-round 6.5 Grendel AR15 magazine.

Do I need a different bolt?

Yes. 6.5 Grendel needs a larger bolt face than 5.56 NATO. Order the upper with the optional CM15 Low Mass bolt carrier group, manufactured to the Grendel Type II specification, or use a Grendel-specific bolt carrier group.
