Why a 375 Raptor SBR
A subsonic load reaches its full velocity in a short barrel, so a 12.5-inch 375 Raptor SBR gives up nothing with the 400 gr subsonic load and keeps a suppressed firearm compact. At 6 lb 6 oz and 25.00 inches at its shortest, the CM7S carries easily into a stand, through brush, or out of a vehicle. Because nothing cycles when a bolt action fires, a suppressed 375 Raptor SBR with subsonic ammunition keeps a heavy .375-caliber bullet quiet.
Pistol or SBR Configuration
This 375 Raptor SBR can be ordered as a pistol with a telescoping Tailhook brace or as an SBR with a telescoping buttpad, each with an adjustable cheek riser and a 6.0 to 13.5-inch adjustment range. CM7S Action and Trigger
The CM7S action is steel with a Remington 700 footprint and a full PVD coating. It has three locking lugs, a 60-degree throw, and a one-piece spiral-fluted bolt with a .718-inch body, an M16-style extractor, and a .062-inch firing pin, with the standard .308 bolt face the 375 Raptor uses. Wire EDM raceways, an integrated .300-inch recoil lug, a side-release bolt stop, an oversized bolt knob, and a pinned 20 MOA Picatinny rail complete the action of this 375 Raptor SBR. The TriggerTech Remington 700 Primary trigger comes flat or curved, adjusts from 1.5 to 4.0 lb, and removes without tools.
Barrel and 1:8 Twist
The 12.5-inch barrel is made by Mos-Tek from 416R stainless steel with 5R rifling and a 1:8 twist, finished in E100 Blackout Cerakote, with a shouldered crown, 11/16×24 muzzle threads, and Remage barrel-nut mounting. Ammunition and Magazine
From the 12.5-inch barrel, the Chattahoochee Munitions 400 gr Maker REX subsonic load averages about 1,016 fps, roughly 917 ft-lb at the muzzle and about 842 ft-lb at 100 yards. Because the CM7S is a manually operated bolt action, Chattahoochee Munitions recommends an enclosed suppressor, such as the enclosed PLACID 375.
