Magazine fit and feeding can vary with third-party chassis and bottom-metal combinations. CM’s magazine validation applies to the magazine as configured in complete CM7S firearms with the CM7 chassis.
Suppressing the 18-Inch CM7S
The manually operated CM7S does not depend on propellant gas to cycle the action. That changes the suppressor equation compared with a semi-automatic AR-15.
For the CM7S, Chattahoochee Munitions generally favors a conventional enclosed suppressor. Because there is no semi-automatic gas system to operate, increased suppressor backpressure does not need to be managed for cycling in the same manner as the CM15.
Flight Deck 22 is built around supersonic 22 ARC performance. A suppressor can substantially reduce muzzle blast, but it cannot eliminate the ballistic crack created by a supersonic projectile.
