CM7S 308 Suppressor Ready Rifle
The CM7S 308 Suppressor Ready Rifle combines a compact 16-inch Mos-Tek barrel, 5/8×24 muzzle threads and CM’s three-lug bolt action with a Black Tungsten billet-aluminum chassis. It is configured for conventional supersonic 308 Winchester ammunition and provides a strong foundation for an appropriately rated enclosed suppressor.
A bolt action does not depend on propellant gas to cycle its action. That allows this rifle to use an enclosed suppressor without increasing bolt speed or disrupting a semi-automatic gas system. The chamber remains closed until the shooter manually operates the bolt, helping contain action noise and gas during suppressed use.

Mos-Tek 308 Winchester Barrel
The 16-inch barrel is produced through CM’s collaboration with Mos-Tek. It is machined from 416R stainless steel with 5R rifling and receives E100 Blackout Cerakote for external protection.
A 1:8 twist supports conventional supersonic 308 Winchester projectile weights. The shouldered crown protects the muzzle, while the 5/8×24 threads accept compatible direct-thread suppressors, suppressor mounts and other muzzle devices.
This barrel is not intended for CM’s 300-grain subsonic ammunition. That 2.06-inch projectile requires the 1:5 twist found in CM’s specialized 12.5-inch subsonic firearms.

CM7S Three-Lug Bolt Action
The CM7S action uses the established Remington 700 footprint with a three-lug bolt and 60-degree throw. The shorter bolt rotation reduces handle travel and provides additional clearance around the optic during operation.
A one-piece .718-inch bolt body, M16-style extractor and integrated .300-inch recoil lug provide the mechanical foundation of the 308 Suppressor Ready Rifle. Wire EDM-cut raceways establish uniform tolerances, while the oversized bolt knob and spiral-fluted bolt support smooth manual operation.
The action and bolt receive a full PVD coating for corrosion resistance and reduced operating friction. A pinned 20-MOA Picatinny rail provides a stable optic interface, and the large ejection port offers clear access to the chamber and action.

TriggerTech Remington 700 Primary Trigger
The CM7S uses a TriggerTech Remington 700 Primary trigger, available with a flat or curved trigger bow. TriggerTech’s Frictionless Release Technology provides a zero-creep break with short overtravel and consistent operation.
Pull weight is externally adjustable from 1.5 to 4 pounds in one-ounce increments. Hardened 440C stainless steel internal components provide corrosion resistance and extended service life. Current flat triggers do not use the removable trigger shoes shown in some earlier CM product photographs.
Black Tungsten CM7S Chassis
The chassis is machined from a single block of billet aluminum and finished in Black Tungsten Cerakote. Black and Black Tungsten stock components complete the darker presentation of this 308 Suppressor Ready Rifle.
The flared magazine well accepts compatible short-action AICS-pattern magazines. An ambidextrous magazine release permits operation from either side, while the enlarged trigger guard provides additional clearance when gloves are worn.
The full bottom ARCA rail supports compatible tripods, bipods and other supported-position equipment. M-LOK mounting surfaces provide additional accessory space, and dual integrated QD sockets supply sling attachment points on both sides of the chassis.

CM Vertical Crossover Grip
The rifle uses the CM Precision Vertical Crossover Grip developed in collaboration with MK Machining. Its geometry supports a more vertical firing-hand position while retaining practical handling for field carry and positional use.
Suppressor Selection for This 308 Rifle
CM generally recommends an enclosed suppressor for a bolt-action 308 Winchester rifle. Because the action is operated manually, suppressor backpressure does not have to be balanced against semi-automatic bolt speed, extraction or receiver gas.
The suppressor must be rated for 308 Winchester, the firearm’s barrel length and the intended firing schedule. Confirm muzzle-device compatibility, suppressor-to-bore alignment and all manufacturer restrictions before firing.
The 308 Suppressor Guide explains why CM recommends enclosed suppressors for bolt actions, flow-through suppressors for supersonic CM10 rifles and enclosed suppressors for the specialized CM10 SUBSONIC.
308 Winchester Ammunition Compatibility
This 1:8 twist 308 Suppressor Ready Rifle is intended for conventional supersonic 308 Winchester ammunition. CM 308 Winchester firearms can also use appropriate 7.62×51 NATO ammunition.
The cartridges are closely related, but their published pressure values are derived through different testing methods and should not be treated as universally interchangeable across every firearm. Read the 308 Winchester vs 7.62 NATO Guide for CM’s complete compatibility explanation.
Do not use CM 300-grain subsonic ammunition in this rifle. That ammunition requires a 1:5 twist barrel and should not be fired through this 1:8 twist configuration, particularly with a suppressor attached.
AICS Magazine Compatibility
The CM7S uses short-action AICS-pattern magazines. It can use compatible polymer or metal AICS magazines, unlike the LR/SR-pattern magazines used by conventional CM10 semi-automatic rifles.
The available 308 bolt-action magazine is a 10-round Magpul PMAG 7.62 AC selected for the CM7S platform.

If there was ever a time to call a rifle “beautiful”, it would be this bolt action .308. I opened the box at my FFL and was blown away with every aspect of it, as was my FFL dealer! CM make firearms that are second to none IMO AND you don’t have to break the bank in purchasing one.
Highly recommend any product they have!
