The CM7S Suppressor Ready 300 Blackout Pistol is a complete bolt-action firearm manufactured around compact dimensions, subsonic ammunition and the mechanical advantages of a manually operated action. Its 8-inch 1:5 twist Mos-Tek barrel, 5/8×24 muzzle threads, telescoping Tailhook brace and adjustable cheek riser provide a focused foundation for a short suppressed system.
This firearm can also be ordered as a registered short-barreled rifle with a telescoping butt pad. The pistol and SBR use the same CM7S action, Mos-Tek barrel, CM7 chassis, TriggerTech trigger and CM-vetted magazine, but the selected rear assembly determines the firearm’s classification.
A suppressor is not included unless expressly identified as part of a product option. “Suppressor ready” means the firearm has a threaded barrel and a configuration suitable for adding a compatible suppressor. It does not mean integrally suppressed, and this model is not an SD configuration with a suppressor extending beneath the forend.

Why Choose a Suppressor Ready 300 Blackout Pistol?
A Suppressor Ready 300 Blackout Pistol combines the short-barrel advantages of the cartridge with a closed, manually operated action. It does not require a gas port, gas block, gas tube, buffer or recoil spring to function. Ammunition can therefore be selected without also having to generate sufficient pressure to cycle a semi-automatic action.
The 8-inch barrel limits the length added in front of the action before a suppressor is installed. The telescoping Tailhook brace can be shortened for storage and extended to provide the appropriate cheek position and overall dimensions for the shooter.

The 5/8×24 muzzle thread accepts compatible muzzle devices and appropriately rated direct-thread suppressors. Before installing a suppressor, the owner must confirm the suppressor manufacturer’s caliber, projectile and minimum-barrel-length requirements.
1:5 Twist for Heavy Subsonic Projectiles
The 1:5 twist increases rotational speed compared with a conventional 1:7 twist. This is particularly valuable with the long, heavy projectiles commonly loaded in subsonic 300 Blackout ammunition. CM therefore uses a 1:5 twist throughout the CM7S 300 Blackout family, including this shortest complete-firearm configuration.
Twist rate does not make every projectile automatically suitable for suppressor use. Projectile construction, length, weight and actual muzzle velocity all affect stability. Shooters should confirm stability without the suppressor installed before firing a new load through the suppressor.
Bolt-Action Suppression Advantages
The manually operated Suppressor Ready 300 Blackout Pistol keeps the breech closed until the shooter cycles the bolt. This avoids the action noise, ejection-port noise and receiver gas associated with a cycling semi-automatic firearm.
The absence of a gas-operated cycling system also means that switching between subsonic loads does not create a gas-system reliability problem. Different loads may still produce different velocities, points of impact, projectile stability and terminal results, but they do not need to operate a bolt carrier.

Choosing an Appropriate Suppressor
A suppressor used with the Suppressor Ready 300 Blackout Pistol must be rated for 300 Blackout and an 8-inch barrel. The manufacturer’s restrictions should also be checked for the specific subsonic or supersonic ammunition being used.
An enclosed .30-caliber suppressor is generally the natural choice for a subsonic-first 300 Blackout system. Unlike a semi-automatic firearm, the bolt-action CM7S does not depend on suppressor backpressure for cycling. Suppressor selection can therefore emphasize sound performance, length, weight, mounting system and the intended ammunition.
The suppressor should be mounted according to its manufacturer’s instructions, and alignment should be checked before firing. Projectile stability must be confirmed before a suppressor is installed, particularly when changing ammunition.

Selectable Pistol or SBR Configuration
The customer selects one of two rear configurations when ordering:
- Pistol: Telescoping Tailhook brace with an adjustable cheek riser
- SBR: Telescoping butt pad with an adjustable cheek riser
The pistol configuration uses the Tailhook brace and is transferred as a pistol. Selecting the butt pad creates a short-barreled rifle subject to the applicable National Firearms Act transfer process, including shipment to an appropriately licensed dealer and approval before transfer.

CM-Vetted 300 Blackout Magazine
The firearm includes one CM-vetted 10-round AICS-pattern magazine finished in AI Dark Earth Cerakote. CM supplies a magazine tested for feeding in the CM7S 300 Blackout platform rather than treating every generic AICS-pattern magazine as interchangeable.
