A 375 Raptor Bolt Action Hunting Rifle for Deer, Hogs, and Bear

A 16-inch barrel gives this 375 Raptor bolt action hunting rifle full supersonic velocity: the 190 gr Maker T-REX load leaves at 2,450 fps and carries more than 1,600 ft-lb at 200 yards. Load the 400 gr subsonic for quiet, suppressed shots at known distances. At 16 inches the rifle needs no SBR registration, and at 8 lb 10 oz with an adjustable walnut stock it is a steady, traditional field rifle.

WOOX Walnut Stock and Forend

The WOOX Exactus walnut stock has an adjustable cheek riser and buttpad, a bottom Picatinny rail, and a QD sling mount. The WOOX Furiosa walnut forend carries M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, and WOOX Monocore M5 bottom metal feeds from AICS-pattern magazines. CM7S Action and Trigger

The CM7S action is steel with a Remington 700 footprint and a full PVD coating. It has three locking lugs, a 60-degree throw, and a one-piece spiral-fluted bolt with a .718-inch body, an M16-style extractor, and a .062-inch firing pin, with the standard .308 bolt face the 375 Raptor uses. Wire EDM raceways, an integrated .300-inch recoil lug, a side-release bolt stop, an oversized bolt knob, and a pinned 20 MOA Picatinny rail complete the action of this 375 Raptor Bolt Action Hunting Rifle. The TriggerTech Remington 700 Primary trigger comes flat or curved, adjusts from 1.5 to 4.0 lb, and removes without tools.

The 16-inch barrel is made by Mos-Tek from 416R stainless steel with 5R rifling and a 1:8 twist, finished in E100 Blackout Cerakote, with a shouldered crown, 11/16×24 muzzle threads, and Remage barrel-nut mounting. The 1:8 twist gives the long 400 gr subsonic bullet a wide stability margin over Maker Bullets’ 1:11 guidance and stabilizes the 190 gr supersonic bullet easily. Ammunition and Magazine

From the 16-inch barrel, the Chattahoochee Munitions 190 gr Maker T-REX supersonic load averages 2,450 fps with 2,533 ft-lb at the muzzle and more than 1,300 ft-lb at 300 yards. The 400 gr Maker REX subsonic load carries about 842 ft-lb at 100 yards for suppressed shooting. Use the bolt action loads: 400 gr subsonic for bolt action and 190 gr supersonic for bolt action.
