This CM10 is engineered for supersonic 308 Winchester and compatible 7.62×51 NATO ammunition. It is not configured to cycle subsonic ammunition. Shooters seeking a semi-automatic system developed specifically for heavy subsonic loads should select the CM10 308 Subsonic AR10.
Photographs may show optics, suppressors or other accessories that are not included unless specifically listed.
CM10 308 AR10 Rifle
The CM10 308 AR10 Rifle combines a 16-inch 308 Winchester barrel with billet receivers, ambidextrous controls and an adjustable operating system. Its rifle-length gas system distinguishes it from many 16-inch large-frame rifles that use a shorter mid-length system.
CM selects rifle-length gas for its smoother operating impulse and greater tuning flexibility, particularly when a suppressor is added later. The Superlative Arms adjustable gas block and adjustable AR10 buffer allow the rifle to be balanced around the ammunition, suppressor and shooter rather than relying on a fixed operating arrangement.
This rifle uses conventional dual-feed LR/SR-pattern magazines. It is chambered for 308 Winchester and can also fire compatible 7.62×51 NATO ammunition. Compare the complete CM10 and CM7S firearm families, ammunition and supporting components in District 308.
Why CM Uses Rifle-Length Gas
A 16-inch large-frame rifle is commonly paired with a mid-length gas system. CM instead uses a rifle-length system to moderate the operating impulse and provide additional room for adjustment. The longer system generally introduces gas later in the firing cycle, which can reduce carrier speed and make the rifle easier to tune.
This becomes particularly valuable when adding a suppressor. An enclosed suppressor can increase backpressure, carrier velocity and gas at the receiver. Starting with rifle-length gas and combining it with adjustable gas and buffer systems gives the shooter greater control over those changes. A flow-through suppressor can also reduce excess backpressure during supersonic operation. Learn more in the 308 suppressor guide.
CM10 Billet Receiver Set
- SR25-pattern receiver architecture with DPMS high-profile component compatibility
- CNC-machined from 7075-T6 billet aluminum

- Lightening cuts on the upper receiver
- Upper receiver without a forward assist
- Machined and flared magazine well
- Integral trigger guard
- Ambidextrous fire and safe markings

The adjustable buffer works with the adjustable gas block to control carrier speed and operating feel. This allows the complete system to be tuned rather than relying on the gas block alone.
TriggerTech AR Duty Trigger
The CM10 308 AR10 Rifle includes a TriggerTech AR Duty trigger with a choice of single-stage or two-stage operation. Its zero-creep release provides a clean, predictable break with minimal overtravel. Most customers select the single-stage trigger, although the two-stage option remains available for shooters who prefer a defined first stage.

Muzzle Device and Suppressor Use
The 5/8×24 muzzle thread supports common 308-caliber muzzle devices, direct-thread suppressors and suppressor mounts. Available muzzle configurations can vary with component availability and price. Contact CM before ordering if a particular suppressor interface is required.
The rifle-length gas system, adjustable gas block and adjustable buffer make this rifle well suited to suppressed supersonic operation. A flow-through suppressor can reduce excess backpressure and receiver gas, while an enclosed suppressor may require more gas and buffer adjustment. Always follow the suppressor manufacturer’s caliber, barrel-length and mounting requirements.
Magazine
- One 20-round Magpul PMAG 7.62 LR/SR GEN M3 in Coyote, where permitted
- Conventional dual-feed LR/SR magazine pattern
- Compatible lower-capacity LR/SR magazines may be used where required

308 AR10 Rifle FAQ
Why does this 16-inch rifle use a rifle-length gas system?
CM uses rifle-length gas to introduce operating pressure later in the firing cycle, moderate carrier speed and provide greater tuning flexibility. This is especially useful when the rifle will be fired with a suppressor.
Will this rifle cycle subsonic 308 ammunition?
No. This CM10 308 AR10 Rifle is configured for the pressure and dwell time produced by supersonic ammunition. Choose the CM10 SUBSONIC when reliable semi-automatic operation with compatible heavy subsonic loads is required.
Can the CM10 fire both 308 Winchester and 7.62×51 NATO?
Yes. CM’s 308 Winchester firearms can use compatible 7.62×51 NATO ammunition. Always confirm that the ammunition is commercially manufactured, undamaged and appropriate for the firearm before use.
What magazine pattern does this rifle use?
The CM10 uses conventional dual-feed LR/SR-pattern 308 magazines. It does not use the AICS-pattern magazine found in the CM7S bolt-action platform.
Is this 308 AR10 Rifle suppressor ready?
Yes. The barrel has 5/8×24 muzzle threads, and the rifle-length gas system, adjustable gas block and adjustable buffer provide the tuning range needed for suppressed supersonic operation. The required suppressor mount or muzzle device depends on the selected suppressor.
Warranty
This complete rifle carries CM’s limited lifetime warranty for the original purchaser. Coverage applies to functional performance in the rifle’s original CM configuration and is subject to the complete warranty terms.
