The CM15 22 ARC Upper brings Chattahoochee Munitions’ 16-inch 22 ARC configuration to customers who already have a compatible AR-15 lower receiver. It combines a 16-inch fluted 416R stainless steel barrel, rifle-length gas system, Superlative Arms adjustable gas block, CM lightweight billet upper receiver, and 15-inch CM M-LOK handguard into a complete upper receiver assembly.
The 16-inch barrel uses a 1:7 twist and is configured around the supersonic performance of 22 ARC. Customers can select the upper’s color and muzzle-device configuration and can order it with or without the CM15 low-mass bolt carrier group and ambidextrous charging handle.
For customers who want the same core barrel and operating-system architecture as CM’s complete 16-inch CM15 rifles without purchasing another complete firearm, the 22 ARC Upper provides a direct path into the Flight Deck 22 ecosystem.
16-Inch 22 ARC Upper
The CM15 upper is built around a 16-inch straight-fluted 416R stainless steel barrel. It uses a 1:7 twist, SPR profile, .750-inch gas journal, 1/2×28 threaded muzzle, and rifle-length gas system.
The 16-inch configuration provides a shorter alternative to CM’s longer 22 ARC rifle configurations while retaining the rifle-length gas system used on our 16-inch CM15 platform.

CM Lightweight Billet Upper Receiver
The 22 ARC Upper uses a CM lightweight upper receiver machined from 6061 billet aluminum. Relief cuts reduce unnecessary material, while the machined Picatinny-rail channel contributes to the lightweight receiver profile.

15-Inch CM M-LOK Handguard

Integrated QD sockets at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions provide sling attachment points without requiring an additional QD mounting component.

Rifle-Length Adjustable Gas System
The CM15 22 ARC Upper uses a rifle-length gas system with a Melonite gas tube and Superlative Arms .750 Adjustable Gas Block.
The adjustable gas block provides a point of adjustment within the semi-automatic operating system. Ammunition selection, muzzle-device configuration, suppressor use, and the customer’s lower-receiver setup can all affect how a semi-automatic rifle operates, making adjustable gas useful when configuring the complete system.
Optional CM15 Low-Mass Bolt Carrier Group
Customers can order the 22 ARC Upper with or without the CM15 low-mass bolt carrier group. The CM15 BCG uses a 9310 steel bolt with an 8620 carrier and gas key.
The bolt is magnetic-particle inspected and uses an S7 steel extractor. A 17-4 stainless steel firing pin completes the assembly.

Configurable Muzzle Device
The 16-inch barrel uses standard 1/2×28 muzzle threads. Customers can select an available suppressor-host muzzle device or a thread protector when configuring the upper.
This allows the muzzle interface to be selected around the customer’s intended suppressor or unsuppressed configuration rather than requiring replacement of a predetermined muzzle device after purchase.
Suppressing the 22 ARC Upper
The CM15 22 ARC Upper can be configured as a suppressor host. Because the upper uses a semi-automatic gas system, suppressor backpressure becomes part of the operating-system equation.
Chattahoochee Munitions generally favors a flow-through suppressor on the CM15 platform. Reducing additional backpressure can help limit unnecessary gas returned through the system, while the Superlative Arms adjustable gas block provides additional control over the operating system.
Flight Deck 22 is built around supersonic 22 ARC performance. A suppressor can substantially reduce muzzle blast, but it does not eliminate the ballistic crack produced by a projectile traveling above the speed of sound.
22 ARC AR15 Magazine Compatibility
A 22 ARC upper also requires the appropriate magazine when installed on a compatible AR-15 lower. Chattahoochee Munitions offers a CM-vetted 22 ARC AR15 Magazine selected for use with our CM15 22 ARC firearms.
CM’s magazine validation applies to its use with CM15 firearms. Function with every possible combination of third-party lower receivers, components, or magazines cannot be guaranteed.
