350 Legend AR15 โ€” CM15 18โ€ณ FDE Metallic

The Chattahoochee Munitions CM15 350 Legend AR15 brings a straight-wall hunting cartridge to a semi-automatic platform with an 18-inch barrel, ambidextrous controls, FDE Metallic Cerakote, and Coyote furniture. A TriggerTech Duty trigger, Superlative Arms adjustable gas block, and ODIN adjustable buffer are standard equipment, alongside a B5 Systems Bravo stock and grip.

This configuration belongs to Hall of Legends, our destination for 350 Legend and 400 Legend rifles, magazines, and cartridge education. It combines the handling and detachable-magazine layout of the CM15 with a cartridge developed around deer-hunting applications.

Understanding the 350 Legend Cartridge

350 Legend is a straight-wall centerfire cartridge developed by Winchester. Its hunting role makes it relevant to hunters evaluating alternatives to traditional lever-action cartridges or equipment for areas with straight-wall cartridge requirements. What is 350 Legend? explains cartridge design, factory ammunition, published ballistics, and its place in the CM15 platform.

Ammunition selection matters as much as the rifle configuration. Bullet construction, load velocity, and expected shooting distance influence the suitability of a hunting load. Published figures from a different test-barrel length should not be treated as measured performance from this 18-inch rifle. Winchesterโ€™s 350 Legend technical FAQ provides additional cartridge information and identifies the barrel lengths used for its reference data.

For a familiar point of comparison, read our 350 Legend vs 30-30 article. It examines specific factory loads and platform differences rather than treating either cartridge as better in every case.

18-Inch 1:16 Barrel and Gas System

This 350 Legend AR15 uses an 18-inch nitrided CrMV barrel with a 1:16 twist and a carbine-length gas system. The barrel has a shouldered crown and 1/2ร—28 muzzle threads. Its configuration pairs with a 15-inch handguard, providing space for support-hand placement and accessory mounting while leaving the muzzle device exposed.

  • Chambering: .350 Legend
  • Barrel length: 18 inches
  • Material: CrMV steel
  • Finish: Nitrided
  • Twist rate: 1:16
  • Crown: Shouldered
  • Muzzle threads: 1/2ร—28
  • Gas journal: .750 inch
  • Gas system: Carbine length

TriggerTech Duty Trigger โ€” Three Options

Every Chattahoochee Munitions CM10 and CM15 is equipped with a TriggerTech Duty trigger. For this 350 Legend AR15, choose a single-stage straight, single-stage curved, or two-stage straight configuration. All three options have a total pull weight of 3.5 pounds.

A single-stage trigger presents one stage of pull before the break. A two-stage trigger separates the pull into an initial take-up stage followed by a distinct second stage before the break. The straight and curved profiles offer different finger-contact shapes, letting you select the combination of profile and stage that you prefer.

  • Single-stage straight: 3.5-pound total pull weight
  • Single-stage curved: 3.5-pound total pull weight
  • Two-stage straight: 3.5-pound total pull weight

For more information about the Duty designs, explore TriggerTechโ€™s single-stage Duty trigger and two-stage Duty trigger pages. The three configurations offered by Chattahoochee Munitions are specified at 3.5 pounds total pull weight.

Ambidextrous Controls and Charging Handle

The ambidextrous control layout of this 350 Legend AR15 provides safety, magazine-release, and bolt-release access from either side of the receiver. The CM15 Warhammer ambidextrous charging handle, manufactured in collaboration with Breek Arms, complements that layout.

  • Chattahoochee Munitions ambidextrous safety
  • Chattahoochee Munitions ambidextrous magazine release
  • CM15 ambidextrous bolt release
  • CM15 pivot and takedown pins
  • TriggerTech Duty trigger in the selected configuration
  • B5 Systems Coyote grip
  • CM15 Warhammer ambidextrous charging handle in 7075 aluminum

Adjustable Gas and Buffer Components

A Superlative Arms .750 adjustable gas block and ODIN adjustable AR15 buffer are standard on this 350 Legend AR15. These components provide adjustment capability within the operating system. The gas block controls the gas supplied to the action, while the buffer provides selectable weight combinations. ODIN explains its interchangeable-weight design on the adjustable buffer product page.

The upper also includes a Melonite-finished carbine-length gas tube, CM15 dust cover, and forward assist. Chattahoochee Munitions recommends flow-through suppressors for this Legend CM15 configuration. Suppressor selection must account for .350 Legend suitability and compatibility with the selected muzzle device and mounting system.

The lower incorporates an integral trigger guard and a machined, widely flared magazine well. Fire and Safe pictograms appear on both sides to accompany the ambidextrous control layout.

Muzzle Device Options

The 1/2ร—28 muzzle is offered with an optional muzzle brake selection or a thread protector. Any muzzle device or suppressor you add must be rated by its maker for 350 Legend and the .357-inch bore; a matching thread pitch alone does not establish compatibility. Chattahoochee Munitions recommends a flow-through suppressor for this supersonic rifle; see 350 Legend suppressor.

Dedicated 350 Legend Magazine Included

One black 10-round DURAMAG magazine is included. The cartridge requires dedicated magazine geometry; Winchester identifies standard .223 Remington/5.56 magazines as unsuitable for 350 Legend. Additional 350 Legend magazines are available directly from Chattahoochee Munitions.

Choosing Your 350 Legend AR15

This 350 Legend AR15 is the FDE Metallic version of our 18-inch CM15 configuration. Its adjustable stock, ambidextrous controls, and choice of TriggerTech Duty trigger provide several ways to match the rifleโ€™s handling to your preferences.
