Why a Dedicated 338 ARC AR15 Magazine
The ARC case is wider than the 5.56 case, and the 338 ARC loads a heavy .338-inch bullet to the AR15’s 2.260-inch maximum overall length set by the SAAMI 338 ARC specification. A magazine with the right body, follower and feed lips presents that cartridge to the chamber consistently, with subsonic and supersonic loads.
Construction
The body is 410 stainless steel with a T-360 coating, in the AR15 pattern so it fits standard AR15 magazine wells and magazine releases. It holds 10 rounds, a common capacity limit in many states.
